Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Azure Audit website and platform ("Azure"). By creating an account or using Azure you agree to them. If you use Azure on behalf of a firm, you confirm you are authorised to bind that firm.

1. The service

Azure provides software to plan, perform, document and review audits of body corporates and similar entities. Azure is a tool: professional judgement, the audit opinion and compliance with ISAs, the IRBA Code, the STSMA and the CSOS Act remain the responsibility of the registered auditor and the audit firm.

2. Accounts

• Keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
• Firm administrators control who has access to their firm's engagements.
• Client portal users may only upload documents requested by their auditor.

3. Your data

Your firm owns the audit data it loads onto Azure. We process it only to provide the service, as set out in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to upload personal information of owners, trustees and other third parties.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse Azure: no attempts to access other firms' data, interfere with the service, upload malicious files, or use it for unlawful purposes.

5. Fees

Pricing is shown on our website or agreed in writing. During the launch period Azure may be offered free of charge; we will give at least 30 days' notice before any fees apply.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Azure available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated where possible. Export your working papers regularly for your own records.

7. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Azure is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for audit conclusions reached using the platform. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

8. Ending use

You may stop using Azure at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. On request we will provide an export of your firm's data before deletion.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
